Many people don't believe that Climate Change is real, but just pay attention to the weather!
Climate Change, Greenhouse Gases, &
Global Warming, many use these topics & ideas interchangeably…
However, they are not the same. They are connected because of
Cause, Affect, & Effect.
We only get one Earth, it's our responsibility to care for it!
Greenhouse gases are the "effects" of Global Warming. A Greenhouse gas is any gaseous compound.
Within landfills, methane is created due to the decomposition and the chemical imbalance of waste. Methane rises and forms an invisible bubble, it then bursts and releases in the atmosphere.
Methane gets trapped and holds heat in the atmosphere. Because of the increase in temperature in the atmosphere, greenhouse gases are responsible for the greenhouse effect, which ultimately leads to global warming.
Global Warming is the “cause” of long-term warming of the planet.
The rise in global temperatures over 30+ years has initiated our climate to change.
The average weather pattern will continue to change if we do not alter our patterns.
One pattern is the production of greenhouse gases.
Climate Change is the “effect” that includes the increasing incidence of extreme weather events like powerful hurricanes and severe drought to more frequent flooding and longer-lasting heat waves.
When we think about Climate Change, we think about it on a large scale, however, everyone can do their part to assist in this urgent movement.
We can assist by reducing methane gas production in landfills by putting waste in its proper place.
You can take the step, today to recycle and organics recycle.
It's not hard, it's actually fun!
